An interview at Radio-Canada

Scientists from the Russian Federal University have discovered live mammouth cell nuclei, preserved in the permafrost of Siberia. Jointly with the South Korean Foundation for Research in biotechnology and the controversial cloning pioneer Hwang Woo-Suk, they expect cloning this animal that became extinct 10,000 years ago. Dr. Lawrence Smith, Professor in the department of Veterinary Biomedicine at the Université de Montréal, holder of the Chaire de recherche du Canada sur le clonage animal et les cellules souches was internview by Radio-Canada.

The Fall 2012 RQR-CREATE Scholarships competition is now open!

 

The scholarships are for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows that are studying under the supervision of one or more RQR researchers. The scholarships are for one year with a possibility of renewal. Scholarship support for graduate studies through the RQR-CREATE program is limited to a maximum of 4 years.

 

· M.Sc.: 10 000$ per year for a maximum of two years

· Ph.D.: 10 000$ per year for a maximum of three years

· Postdoctoral fellows: 15 000$ per year for a maximum of two years

 

Application deadline: October 12th at midnight.

To increase the visibility of the RQR in the industry and be known by the end users, we presented a booth at the CFAS congress in Ottawa in September. We are also partners of the following events:
