7th RQR Symposium: A Success!

The 7th Symposium of the Réseau Québécois en reproduction was held on November 11 and 12 2014 at the Plaza Québec in Ste-Foy. A pre-symposium workshop was also held on Monday November 10th 2014. Both events were  huge successes! 174 participants were present at the symposium and 78 at the pre-symposium workshop. The photos of the event are available on our Facebook page!


We would like to thank everyone who participated in this success: the guest speakers, the judges, the presenters, the administrative team and all participants!

From researchers to end users: The next step

As part of the RQR Knowledge Translation Workshop Series, the RQR announces its second workshop entitled "From researchers to end users: The next step". 


Eight guest speakers will address technology transfer and knowledge mobilization by providing information from their personal experiences. See the Program. Dr. Frédéric Leduc, past RQR trainee now CEO and founder of Immune BioSolutions, and Dr. Janice L. Bailey, chair of the RQR Knowledge Transfer committee, will lead the discussions. 


The event will take place on Monday December 1 at the Longueuil Campus of the Université de Sherbrooke (located at the Longueuil metro) room L1-5680 and the registration deadline is Monday November 24: Registration formThis is the second workshop on this topic sponsored by the RQR. The first took place in the form of the RQR pre-symposium workshop in November 2011. 

An award for the RQR and OVO Clinic

We are pleased to announce that the RQR received a recognition from the Team Science pour tous for a distinctive performance, among 339 activities held throughout Quebec, in the category "Outstanding Activities" for the organization of The Art of Conceiving, which was held in May with the collaboration of OVO Clinic.

Dr. Sirard was awarded a grant from EMD Serono

Dr. Marc-André Sirard, from the Université Laval, was awarded a grant from EMD Serono for innovation in fertility for his project COST2: Control Ovarian Stimulation Timing Test.


Dr. Sirard also received, this year, the Prix Léo-Pariseau 2014, in biological and health sciences, presented by Acfas.
