Reminder: Travel Awards

Awards of 500$ will be given by RQR to cover travel expenses for trainees. The meeting should occur between March 1st and August 31st 2011. Only one travel award per candidate per year.

 

Complete the application form and send it to j.blouin@umontreal.ca before April 15th 2011.

New Collaboration Grants

Three grants of $5000 were provided by RQR to members to initiate new collaborations:  Drs. Eric Asselin and Derek Boerboom; Drs. Sarah Kimmins and Hugh Clarke; and Drs. Cathy Vaillancourt and Carlos Reyes-Moreno.

Congratulations to Dr. Asselin!

Our Embryogenesis and Utero-Embryo Interaction Theme leader, Dr. Eric Asselin, from Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, was recipient of the “Prix d’excellence en recherche de l’UQTR” sector “sciences naturelles, génie et sciences de la santé” during the “Distinction UQTR” ceremony held on March 17th 2011.

 

Dr. Asselin, holder of a Canada Research Chair in Molecular Gyneco-Oncology, is professor in Chemistry-Biology Department at the UQTR and also director of the “Groupe de recherche en Oncologie et Endocrinologie Moléculaires” at the UQTR.
