Les cellules spécialisées des systèmes reproducteurs ont développé des moyens de communiquer entre elles pour contrôler l'environnement des gamètes mâles et femelles et optimiser les chances de fécondation. Les vésicules membranaires libérées par les cellules dans les fluides biologiques apparaissent depuis quelques années comme des vecteurs de communication importants dans la régulation des systèmes biologiques. Notre thématique de recherche consiste à étudier le rôle des vésicules extracellulaires du système reproducteur mâle dans le transport d’information génétique sous forme de petits ARNs non codants appelés microARNs et dans la régulation de fonctions cellulaires importantes pour le contrôle du pouvoir fécondant des gamètes. Grâce à des approches in vitro et in vivo sur des modèles murins et à partir d’échantillons humains, nous étudions l’implication des microARNs et vésicules extracellulaires dans la physio-pathologie des systèmes reproducteurs et étudions leur potentiel comme marqueur non-invasif pour le diagnostique des dysfonctions associées aux problèmes d’infertilité.
