Field of research:

Human and mammalian sperm cell biology, flow cytometry, clinical biochemistry, , clinical transfert, fertility, contraception.

Recent results:

Our work is to develop new diagnostic tests to better identify fertility problems in men so that enlightened decisions can be taken for the choice of the right treatment.

Recently, we have developed and validated new methods that participate in the clinical evaluation of human semen in the context of a medical lab. We now use cytometry to obtain more precise spermatozoa concentration measurements, to evaluate spermatozoa viability and acrosomal integrity, to better analyse leukocytes concentration in semen and to realize rare spermatozoa detection in post-vasectomy or post-vasovasostomy samples and also in men who are considering spermatozoa recovery from the epididymes or testes by aspiration or surgery.
