Field of Research:

We are interested in mechanisms of regulation of female fertility. The two broader themes of research include metabolic hormone signalling to the ovary and intracellular signalling pathways of granulosa cells. Within the theme of metabolic hormone signalling we are currently investigating mechanisms by which metabolic hormones (leptin and IGF1) regulate ovarian functions. Under the umbrella of intracellular signalling pathways we are currently examining the role of kinas pathways, nuclear signalling pathways and transcription factors in FSH and LH-driven granulosa cell differentiation. We use mouse and bovine models for our research.
