Transition from Academia to Entrepreneurship

The next RQR online workshop will focus on the transition from Academic to Entrepreneurship. The Workshop will be moderated by Laila Benameur, entrepreneur and researcher with expertise in nanosciences and nanotoxicology. She has over 10 years of research and development experience with a particular interest in environmental sciences and circular economy. Laila’s scientific background and passion for the environment led her to co-found the company Impact Santé R&D specialized in the development of innovative and compostable solutions to reduce plastic and organic waste. Laila is currently coordinator of scientific entrepreneurship at the District 3 Innovation Center in collaboration with the Quebec Research Funds.

FLOW CYTOMETRY

The next RQR workshop will be in collaboration with Bio-Rad on Flow cytometry, a technique used for a wide range of applications in different fields of research as well as in clinical diagnostic setting.

The first part of this workshop will offer an introduction to flow cytometry followed by examples showing different flow cytometry applications.

The second part of the workshop will be about optimizing flow cytometry experiments. We will cover Sample preparation, Panel design – choice of fluorochromes, Controls, Compensation and will end with Data analysis.

Lunch will be provided!

This workshop will also broadcast by GoToMeeting.
